I had the immense pleasure of playing alongside Phil at Whitburn VC, he was a great player and off the court he was a lovely, funny guy. Our paths crossed at volleyball events over the years and he always took time to have a chat, we often found ourselves looking back to those days at Whitburn. Rest in peace Phil, you have been taken from us far too soon.
